We have been hosting both curated and juried, competitive shows for local artists in the Ventura County Government Center Hall of Administration Atrium Gallery since 2017. In 2020 and 2021, we hosted online shows while the Government Center was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can view the works featured in those shows in the online galleries below.

"Trans/Formed" and "Transmission" feature photographs and artifacts that survived the devastating wildfire, offering visitors a chance to reflect on catastrophe, displacement, and community resilience. The exhibition showcases objects that endured temperatures exceeding 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Curated by Robin Wallace.

Values are basic and fundamental beliefs that guide or motivate attitudes or actions. "Value" is an opportunity for artists to consider these questions: What do you value? How do you consider value in creating your pieces? Do you have artwork that explores tonal range?

Source, ancestry, motive. This exhibition explores and reflects on the artists' own artistic beginnings, family histories or perhaps why they do what they do everyday. The projects did not have to be self-referential; artists were encouraged to feel free to reflect on any origin they felt inclined to.
