He has had numerous one man shows at these and other venues. His paintings are in many government and corporate collections and they have been widely collected in this country and abroad.

The Coriell Gallery has represented Don in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His mural and commercial art is now represented by Professional Art Services in Mission Viejo, California. Don’s studio has become his most important gallery. Please visit. There are usually 60 to 70 paintings on display, as well as others by artists he considers his masters and mentors. Double Vision

Eric Ward
mixed media, 30" x 16"
$800

Having lived all of my life near the Southern California coast, part of my inspiration as an artist is derived from living on the edge where the land meets the sea, where the vastness of the ocean is surrounded by the sensory overload of civilization. The colors, the shapes, and the sounds of the ocean and it's surrounding environment, along with the bombardment of sensory overload that often characterizes contemporary life has always fascinated me, and I strive to share these sensations with the viewer through my work. Ultimately, my intentions are to share my passion and experiences while sifting through the quagmire of getting from point A to point B during the journey of life, while inviting various interpretations allowing the viewers to form their own opinions as to the meaning of it all.

Oasis

Joanne Chase-Mattillo
digital art, 20" x 16"
$400

The beauty of nature surrounding Los Angeles was the impetus for my entrance into the field of photography. I began vigorously studying photography and other art arenas to hone my skills as a visual artist. In 2000, I graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Masters of Fine Art (MFA). During these years I continued as a tenured teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. I am now a full-time artist.

I began this life’s journey in Ann Arbor, Michigan and graduated with a BA from Eastern Michigan University. Though the natural settings of Michigan are also quite beautiful, I always dreamed of living in California. It was when I found the Santa Monica Mountains and her many hiking trails that I learned to absolutely love Los Angeles. The fact that many locals in Los Angeles, including the San Fernando Valley where I have lived for so many years have been used in Hollywood movies is also been an important part of my art influencing the creation of three photo books - A MONTH OF COOL DAYS AND HOT NIGHTS and INTERSPECIES DATING IN LOS ANGELES 3D, and DOLLS COME TO LIFE 3D. Since 1991, I have been a volunteer docent through the Santa Monica Conservancy/Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, I led a public photo walk in both Franklin Canyon Park and King Gillette parks.

In addition to color and black and white film, I now shoot digitally and employ the techniques of infrared imaging and enjoy creating 3D anaglyphs to be viewed with red/blue lenses. I also enjoy combining images of nature with movie stills, mannequins, or human subjects in photo montages, with occasional text included in these artworks. As an extension of photography, I have branched out to do videos and have a YouTube Channel, THE VIDEO ART OF JOANNE CHASE-MATTILLO.

I have exhibited throughout California, nationally, in Korea, France and England.

Leslie Ossentjuk is a representational artist based in Ventura County, California. Ms. Ossentjuk is known for detail-oriented artwork, which extends across a variety of media. Although her background includes various three-dimensional disciplines, such as jewelry design and sculpture, much of her current artwork focuses on still life and portraits utilizing colored pencil and oil paint.

As a young artist, my medium of choice was a graphic pencil with a good eraser. Black and white imagery was my strength. I was firm in the belief that I did not get along with color. Fine for other artists, but not for me. Over time, color and I have become much better friends, but I still like to revisit black and white imagery on occasion. For me, scratchboard is one of those media that can afford a rapid result, an instant gratification. My experience with it is limited, but It is what I would call a fun process.

The Picnic Table

Shift Balance (Blue to Rose)

Andy Lepe
acrylic on canvas, 36" x 24" x 1.5"
$1,100

Clarity comes from the art of slowing down. Tapping into the gentle rhythmic stream of harmonizing creative thoughts has helped to develop my mindset through a practice I call “Color Flow”.

My style combines Hard-edge painting, Color-field art, Opt art and Color flow. My subject matter is the abstract concept of energy that flows through us, surrounds us, and gives us life. I find it exciting to depict our vibes/ human energy fields through color which represents our own unique frequencies and are usually felt and not seen.

Slowing down and seeking that calming flow, the goal of my art is to evoke an uplifting positive vibe that shifts the frequency within ourselves and unlocks the greatness within.

Heart Throb

Susan Webb
Charcoal, graphite, pastel, 14" x 11"
NFS

I am a self-taught portrait artist and my favored mediums are graphite and charcoal. These simple mediums ARE ALL ABOUT THE VALUE!!! With the subtle swipe of a stick, you can create a variety of value ranges from jet black to soft grey. More strokes deepen or soften the value, and subtle shading creates almost imperceptible transitions between the various value ranges. I love capturing faces in different types of lights and at different angles. Maybe a cheek is in shadow in a 3/4 view, or a profile is haloed with bright white light or a bokeh effect. Even a "static" full frontal piece can impart energy with a vivid splash of white pastel behind the subject or the smudging of hair to denote movement.

While still a neophyte on my art journey, I have been honored to receive "Best in Show" awards in two Ventura County Fair art competitions, plus numerous awards from the Ventura County Arts Council, the National Arts Program, and the Ventura County Fair for my portraiture pieces over the past six years.
